1. RE: Year 10

Have you completed all their coursework? I tend to leave exam revision until year 11, although I do cover most of the Culture Poems in year 10. If you are looking for an activity to fill a gap, why don't you complete a speaking and listening assessment? Here are some that I use:1. (Drama) You have found a chicken head in your school dinner and your mum/dad wants to complain. Roles: Head Dinner Person, Head Teacher, pupil, parent. Pupils can decide whether they want to have a Head that is bothered and sympathises with the parent or if they side with their dinner team. 2. (Persuasion) Create a presentation in pairs to persaude the rest of the class that any of the following are true: The world is flat, dinosaurs are still alive, Spanish is the offical language of China, the British flag is pink with yellow dots (think Mr Blobby), your home town is the capital of Britain, Your grandparents invented the lightbulb, two plus two equals forty, I am actually a hologram and do not exist, Egypt does not exist and is a hoax. I let the pupils choose, mine created fake articles, edited images and wrote their persuasive speeches before presenting them. 3. Let pupils create a video based on the film Cloverfield. (If you haven't watched it, you should do as it is amazing!) Click this link to get more info: http://www.whencloverfieldhit.com/videos 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
