CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEOS MENTIONED IN THE LESSON PLANS	A whole scheme of work based around the murder of a man. Pupils spend half a term investigating his death. This scheme caters for all different learning styles and is one of my own favourites! There are several opportunities to use ICT with this scheme too! ALL RESOURCES and detailed lesson plans are included.	By the end of this scheme pupils will: be able to practise skills in inference and deduction have had lots of fun whilst reading challenging non-fiction texts like reports learn how to improve their listening skills

Holes by Louis Sachar

CLICK HERE	A scheme of work based on Holes, with nine lessons of detailed plans and resources suitable for photocopying. There are also some focuses on ICT. Please keep an eye out in the near future for the complete version of this coming soon! DIFFERENTIATED!	A whole scheme of work based on non fiction texts. Includes detailed lesson plans and resources- ready to just photocopy! Please collect the extra activity sheets from the links below. I have taken features from other resources I have come across, including Teachit.	By the end of the scheme pupils will know how to persuade and argue to begin to analyse presentational devices to create an informative leaflet fact and opinion Also suitable for Year 8!

Autobiographical writing:

CLICK HERE DIFFERENTIATED!	Three lessons with resources that introduce autobiographical writing and allow them to write their own. By the end of these lessons pupils will: know what an autobiography is be able to write their own detailed autobiography have practised their dictionary skills Also suitable for Year 8 and EAL/SEN!
